European Core Curricula have been developed for the training of medical specialists in radiotherapy (radiation oncology), medical physicists in the field of radiotherapy and radiotherapy technologists. In 2002, these were endorsed by representatives from 35 European countries.  These curricula are currently in the process of being updated and are likely to be available in 2009.
